Cops deny 'Katti Batti' makers permission to host kissing contest
Mumbai: As the release date of Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Katti Batti’ inches closer, the makers have been promoting the film full swing. According to media reports, the film’s marketing team had planned a promotional activity that would take place in a college campus, however there weren’t granted permission from the police for the event.
The team was reportedly going to host a kissing contest, where real-life couples would have to lock lips in public, and Imran and Kangana would judge the competition and select the best kissers. The contest was not restricted to students of that particular college.
The concerned authorities of the college then reportedly decided to seek police permission to host the event in the college premises. However the police was not too happy with the idea and denied permission.
Reports stated that the team then decided to shift the event to another public location, however the police didn’t approve of that idea too, and the team had to scrap the promotional activity.
Director Nikhil Advani and his team reportedly spent a lot of time, money and effort in planning this event, and they were even excited to know that there were many fans who were willing to participate in the event.
