New Delhi: Consumers can now apply for new LPG connections from their homes by booking it online and paying the fees through debit or credit cards. The new connection and LPG cylinder will be delivered to subscribers’ homes after due diligence to ensure it is not a multi-connection case.
This will eliminate the need to go to the gas distributors’ offices several times for a new gas connection. Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the Sahaj scheme (online LPG connections) on Sunday in 12 states, including in Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
