Attender held for harrasment in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: An attender working for The Hindu English daily, who forcibly entered a tenant’s flat and allegedly harassed her on Saturday night was arrested by the police on Sunday. Police said the accused Pandu intentionally entered the victim’s flat and tried to harass her while she was asleep. Police said that Pandu is staying in a rented flat in a double storeyed building behind the Lifestyle Mall at Begumpet.
The victim, 20, is a native of Julurupadu in Khammam district. She is studying hotel management at a city college. She shifted to the flat nearly a month ago. On Saturday night she forgot to latch the main door from inside before she went to sleep.
"At around 12.30 am Pandu intentionally entered her flat on the second floor of the building and harassed her. She ran out of the flat and raised an alarm and residents of other flats came to her rescue,” said Punjagutta inspector M. Mohan.
