Australia launches awesome giant selfie service for tourists
You don’t need a selfie stick to take the best selfies anymore. As part of its new tourism campaign, Australia is offering people massive selfie opportunities – taken from hundreds of metres away.
The oversized selfie service which has been recently launched by Tourism Australia aims to attract more Japanese tourists to the country. To be part of these “GIGA Selfie” events, tourists simply have to stand on a dedicated spot and use an app to set off a distant camera. After that they can download a short video clip that starts as a closeup but then pulls away to the reveal the surrounding landscape.
According to reports by Mashable, tourists will be able to take mega selfies for the first time in the Queensland resort region of the Gold Coast on September 5th and 6th.
