Chandrababu Naidu performs house warming
Guntur: In a surprise move, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu with his wife, Bhuvaneswari performed gruhapravesham (house warming) at the Lingamaneni guest house on the banks of the Krishna River on Saturday.
According to reports, Mr Naidu will stay at the guesthouse whenever he works from the CM’s camp office at Vijayawada.
The police led by Guntur urban SP Sarvasreshth Tripathi provided tight security for the couple’s visit. The puja was kept under wraps throughout the day.
The guesthouse is on Karkatta Road of Seethnagram in Tadepalli mandal of the capital region. The revenue, Transco, R&B and other departments are providing all facilities to the guest house and it was renovated according to Vastu to avoid future hurdles.
According to reliable sources, Ms Bhuvaneswari reached the guest house at 8.30 am and cleaned it. Priests performed Shanthi puja and other rituals as Vastu pundits suggested that Saturday was a good day. Mr Naidu reached the guest house at 4 pm and joined the puja.
The couple performed Palu Pongichadam (milk boiling) and cooked pongal. Later, Mr Naidu and Ms Bhuvaneswari went to Vijayawada at 6 pm after completion of rituals.
TD leaders and activists rushed to Karakatta in large numbers but the police did not allow anyone due to security reasons.
