Hyderabad: The TRS government has stepped up its tirade against the Modi-led NDA government at the Centre by accusing it of behaving in a “wicked manner” towards Telangana state.
The TRS, which fought for a separate state on the ground of Telangana being deprived of its legitimate share of water, jobs and funds in undivided AP, continues to have the same complaints even after formation of a separate state.
Finance minister Etela Rajender on Saturday lashed out at the NDA government saying that the Centre was biased as it had unilaterally deducted nearly Rs 1,274 crore from the state’s account towards I-T arrears of Andhra Pradesh Breweries Corporation Ltd in June, pushing the Telangana government into a financial crisis.
He said that the Centre had ignored requests from the state to the Union finance minister about returning the amount.
