35-year-old auto driver murdered in Bengaluru
BENGALURU: A 35-year-old man was found murdered at Madanayakanahalli early Friday. Police suspect personal rivalry behind the murder.
According to the police, the deceased, Girish alias Katkalli, who hailed from Nelamangala taluk, was an autorickshaw driver. Five years ago, Girish moved to Gangenahalli and was living with his wife and two children.
Krishnaiah, a security supervisor with NICE Toll, found the body of Girish lying in a pool of blood around 7 am. He immediately alerted the police who arrived at the spot with sniffer dogs. “Girish was murdered between 3am and 6am with a blunt object. He suffered head injuries in the attack. Investigations are on,” said a police officer.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Girish left home after having dinner and had told his wife that he would return soon. A case has been registered at Madanayakanahalli police station.
