Nayanthara refuses to give dates to complete Idhu Namma Aalu, starring Simbu

After their strained relationship, Simbu and Nayanthara parted ways and did not team up for more than five years for any film. But when filmmaker Pandiraj brought the duo on board for his film Idhu Namma Aalu as the lead pair, it created a huge buzz in the film circle. Unfortunately, the film produced by STR’s dad Rajendar that commenced in late 2013, was jinxed due to various reasons. After sorting out the innumerous problems that struck Simbu’s long pending movie Vaalu, the makers want to complete Idhu Namma Aalu. Only a song sequence and a few important scenes will have to be canned to complete the movie, say sources close to Pandiraj.
But the twist in the tale is that Nayanthara is refusing to give dates for the song’s shoot — she is demanding that the pending payment of Rs 50 lakhs be made to her first. It is learnt that Nayan was signed on for a whopping Rs 2 crore-salary for INA. Sources close to the actress claim that she was obliging every time they asked for dates on earlier occasions. ‘They wasted her dates thrice and Nayan has other commitments to honour too’, says one of her close aides. Unable to find a solution, Simbu and Rajendar have approached the Nadigar Sangam to resolve the issue. Though mediation was done through the organisation, insiders say that Nayan did not budge an inch and indicated that she would allocate extra dates only if her balance payments were made.
Meanwhile, we also hear that the actress has walked out of musician-turned-actor GV Prakash’s film Bruce Lee. Though she has quoted saying that dates are clashing with her other flicks, the actual reason seems to be different. Now that her recent movie Thani Oruvan has turned out to be a hit, some seem to have advised her to keep away from small time actors and accept films only with biggies.
