Norms relaxed for layouts in HMDA
Minimum area for Layout development is one acre
Hyderabad: The TS government has relaxed norms for layout development in HMDA limits. It issued orders on Friday stating that the ‘Minimum area for Layout development is one acre’ while earlier it was 10 acres.
The minimum area for layout development was four hectares (10 acres), as per previous order passed in 2013. “It has been reported to the government that a major cause for development of unauthorised layouts especially in below 10 acres extent, is mainly due to this minimum area of layout development of 10 acre rule. There have been consistent requests from owners of small land holdings to approve layouts in smaller layouts also. After the request which would encourage people to adopt planned development, the government after careful examination of the matter, issued orders stating “minimum area for layout development shall be 1 acre”.
