Director Pandiraj’s children’s drama Haiku, starring Suriya, Bindu Madhavi, Karthik Kumar and Amala Paul has been renamed Pasanga 2. We hear that one of the reasons for the name change is tax exemption. The distribution rights of the film have been acquired by Madan of Escape Motion Pictures and the first look poster along with the new title was unveiled on Friday.
A source close to the film unit said that the film isn’t a sequel to the director’s previous award-winning film Pasanga though. Touted to be based on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) children, Pasanga 2 also has several debutant child actors. Sharing a new poster on Twitter, Pandiraj tweeted, “Back with kiddies...Here is the First look Poster of Pasanga 2. Audio launch nearing you at the earliest (sic).”
