Former Apple CEO launches stylish yet affordable smartphones
If it’s stylish, it has to be expensive! That’s what most consumers believe. However, former Apple CEO and the present co-founder of Obi Worldphones John Sculley and his partner Robert Brunner are ready to prove it wrong.
Obi Worldphones is a design-led company, which is making good-looking smartphone that are also affordable. It is aiming to compete against the world leading smartphone manufacturers like Apple, Samsung and HTC.
The new Obi Worldphone SF1 smartphone features a fibreglass body with a 5-inch display. It equips a Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The SF1 features a flash for both front and back camera. It includes 4G LTE for connectivity.
The other smartphone which has been launched by Obi Worldphone is the SJ1.5, which is a comparatively cheaper model. The SJ1.5 is powered by a quad-core processor and 16GB of internal storage. It included 3G for connectivity.
Both SF1 and SJ1.5 have dual SIM options. Initial countries where it'll launch online and in-store include Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Pakistan, Turkey and India.
