Cristiano Ronaldo sends signed shirt to Nepal earthquake survivor
Banepa: Football star Cristiano Ronaldo proved once again why he stands out from the rest. The Portugese sent a signed Real Madrid shirt to a 13-year-old boy named Jetin Shrestha – a survivor of the Nepal earthquake.
According to reports, Jetin stuck to his football in the street when the earthquake hit the country.
However, the youngster had no clue about the gift packet when it arrived at his residence.

Apart from the jersey, Ronaldo also wrote a personal message that said: “Jetin, be strong, best wishes, Cristiano Ronaldo."
Photographer Omar Havana and journalist Magarida Mota connected the teenager to his football idol. Later, it was Ronaldo’s agent – Jorge Mendes – who took the matter to the footballer after hearing the story of the young kid who kept playing football even during the time of a natural disaster.
On receiving his prized possession, the kid declared that he would love to play for Real Madrid someday.
The earthquake that struck in April claimed more than 5,000 lives in Nepal.
Earlier, Ronaldo had once flown to Indonesia to meet a young tsunami survivor who wore his famous number seven jersey. He also helped raise money for the relief programme.
Over the years, the footballer has donated boots and helped a many, including a payment of over 50,000 pounds for a 10-month-old baby’s brain surgery.
