Friends who looked for Sheena snubbed, threatened: report
Mumbai: When friends of Sheena Bora, who was allegedly murdered by her mother Indrani Mukerjea three years ago, tried to get in touch with her they were threatened, reports suggest.
According to Indian Express, after Sheena became unavailable on phone and email and her Facebook was deactivated, there were rumours that Sheena had gone missing. Some friends even went to Mumbai to look for her and tried to reach her only to meet with disappointment.
When a couple of them contacted Indrani over the phone, they were not only snubbed, but threatened too. The report states that they are still scared ‘to come out and tell the story’.
Sheena went to Disneyland School in Guwahati from Class I to Class X.
Sheena last visited Guwahati for a couple of days in November 2011 to attend the wedding of a school friend. A few months after she returned to Mumbai, she became incommunicado. The friends learnt from Sheena’s brother Mikhail that she had left for the US.
One of Sheena’s friends, Sadhanidar claimed to have met Sheena in Mumbai “once or twice” while he was on official trips. “I clearly recall she showed us all a costly ring and said her ‘ring ceremony’ with Rahul (Peter Mukerjea’s son from his previous marriage) had already taken place and they would get married soon. She told us it was a quiet ceremony… I think it was a platinum or diamond ring,” he was quoted saying.
However, Sheena’s friends said they did not know that Indrani had introduced her as her sister.
