BENGALURU: An eight-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 32-year-old man at a park in KR Puram on Wednesday. The victim was playing outside her house in Bhattarahalli when the accused took her to an isolated place in the park and sexually assaulted her. The accused has been identified as Venkataramana.
The incident came to light on Wednesday around 7 pm when the victim was found crying near the park by her parents. Her parents filed a complaint after she narrated the incident. A manhunt has been launched.
In another incident, the police arrested a 60-year-old man on Thursday for allegedly molesting a 7-year-old girl in Nandini Layout on August 21. The incident came to light Wednesday after the victim narrated the incident to her sister. The accused, Ramu, a friend of the girl’s parents, allegedly committed the crime when she was alone at home. Investigations are on.
