Two with 3.3kg gold in shoes held at RGI International Airport

Hyderabad: Customs officials at the RGI International Airport apprehended two flyers on Wednesday trying to smuggle gold into the country. One of them, arriving from Dubai in the morning, had concealed the gold in his shoes. A total of 3.32 kg gold was recovered from both passengers.
The passenger initially denied having any dutiable goods and chose to walk through the green channel. However, on suspicion, the officials frisked him and found two gold bars concealed in his shoes.
