ENT doctor of Kims hospital found dead in his BMW
Hyderabad: ENT surgeon at Kims hospital Dr K. Raghavendra Rao, 62, was found dead inside his BMW car at the roadside at Old Bowenpally under suspicious circumstances on Wednesday morning.
Hours after Dr Rao went missing, his son K. Sridhar, an IT professional in the United States, tracked his car with its GPS facility and alerted relatives and the police. The police found a liquor bottle in the car and there were no external injuries on the body.
On Tuesday night, when Dr Rao did not return home nor respond to his wife’s calls, a missing complaint was filed with the local police. Dr Rao’s wife Ms Swarnalatha said that he did not face any threats nor were there any reasons for him to commit suicide. He was, however, a BP patient and was under medication.
Investigating officials from the Bowenpally police said that the cause of death would be clear only after the post-mortem examination. According to Ms Swarnalatha, Dr Rao had left home on Tuesday at 9.30 am for the hospital.
He, however, did not reach the hospital and at 1.30 pm, he called up his assistant and informed that he would not be coming in for a scheduled surgery.
When his wife called him in the evening, there was no response. Dr Rao’s brother-in-law T. Sai Prakash said that they tried calling him several times, but could not reach him. They also inquired with the hospital and checked all possible places before they lodged a complaint.
