Thiruvananthapuram: Education minister P. K. Abdu Rabb has announced the state teachers’ award for 14 teachers each in the primary and secondary level. The minister also announced awards for five best PTAs and three awards for literary works of teachers at the press conference here on Wednesday.
The awards will be distributed at a function at 10.30 am at Durga Higher Secondary School, Kasargod on September 5. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 10,000, citation and a memento.
A committee comprising the education minister as chairman and secretary of General Education and director of Public Instruction as members decided the awardees from among 49 recommendations in the primary section and 38 recommendations from the secondary section.
