Model-turned-actress Akshara Gowda was considered for playing the role

Kaaka Muttai actress Aishwarya Rajesh has a reason to smile. The dusky actress is a part of the remake of Jolly LLB in which Udhayanidhi Stalin and Hansika play the lead roles.
There were reports that the model-turned-actress Akshara Gowda was considered for playing the role, but now it looks like Aishwarya has bagged it finally.
Speaking to DC, Aishwarya says, “Yes, I am playing an important role in the film. My role wasn’t in the original version. The makers altered the script to add my character. But I can’t tell you what kind of a role it is. All I can say is that it’s not a de-glam avatar like what I did in my previous one. I’ll be joining the sets soon.”
The film, directed by Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame, has a host of actors like Vivekh, Prakash Raj and Radha Ravi essaying pivotal characters. It should be noted that Vivek’s character in the movie is not a part of the original version of Jolly LLB either.
Aishwarya adds that life has changed for her post Kaaka Muttai. “When I entered the film industry, the audience accepted me as an actress, but after the National Award winning movie, everybody realised I am a good performer. Now I am quite choosy about the films I do,” she tells us.
