Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Schumer to write a movie
Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer have joined forces to write a screenplay. On Wednesday, Jennifer, 25, told The New York Times that they were nearly a hundred pages into the project, in which they will star as sisters.
“We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now,” she said. “Amy and I were creatively made for each other... We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up,” Jennifer added.
She also revealed that the pair’s friendship blossomed only a few months ago, after Jennifer saw Amy’s newly released comedy Trainwreck.
Once the American Hustle star initiated contact via email, the pair became fast friends. However, it seems Jennifer spoke too soon about their project, adding that she texted Amy she “spilled the beans”, much to the Trainwreck actress’ delight.
“Is that O.K.?” Jennifer finished off the text, to which Amy responded, “That you’re gay? Totally! It’s exciting!”
