2 land grabbers arrested
Police arrested two persons, who were indulged in activities of occupying and grabbing disputed land
Visakhapatnam: Police arrested two persons, who were indulged in activities of occupying and grabbing disputed land and further selling it to other parties in the city. The arrested were identified as J. Ramesh, G. Satish Kumar, both friends from Old Dairy farm area. The third accused P. Rama Rao of Arilova area, is at large.
Arilova Inspector Ch. Dhanunjaya Naidu said that Ramesh, Satish and Rama Rao used to zero in disputed or vacant lands and grab them. “Recently they found out a disputed land in PM Palem area, grabbed and constructed a boundary wall. They also created fake documents for the land and took Rs 10 lakh from one N. Bhaskara Rao, to sell it to him. They also sold one disputed land in Midilapuri Vuda-layout to a former MLA Gantela Sumana, and a land at Rama Naidu studios area to a Hyderabad group. The trio threatened one Hensi Kumar of Arilova to pay them Rs 5 lakh for constructing house in a vacant land. After registering complaint of Hensi Kumar, we nabbed Ramesh and Satish on Tuesday morning,” said Mr Dhanunjay Naidu. The inspector further said that, cases have been booked and also launched search for Rama Rao.
