Nellore: Role of the father suspected behind the death of a six-month-old child at Gurralamadugu centre in Nellore on Tuesday. The father identified as Ansari had married a Hindu woman Pratyusha following a love affair two years ago against the wishes of their parents. He is working in a printing press in Nellore and he was unhappy ever since his wife gave birth to the girl child, who is sick since birth.
Pratyusha told Ansari to look after the baby while going out on some work on Monday. She was shocked when she found the child in an unconscious state after returning home.
Doctors declared her brought dead when she rushed the child to a hospital. Disappearance of Ansari after the death of the child gave strength to doubts over his involvement.
She lodged a complaint with the police against Ansari. Nellore sixth town inspector Baji John Saida and SI Nageswar Rao visited the house and registered a case before sending the body for post-mortem. Police officials said that they are waiting for autopsy report to know the reasons for the death of the kid.
