Ghostly junkyard of cars from bygone era found in a Swedish forest
A photographer from Poland discovered this forest where lay hundreds of forgotten cars from the bygone era. (Picture Courtesy: szrociaki.blogspot.com)- Looks like a traffic jam was stuck in the forest many moons ago.
- As the saying goes, "One man's junk is another man's treasure."
- Could this be the biggest car cemetery in the world?
- According to an urban legend these cars were left behind by US soldiers from World War II, who could not ship them back to the US.
- Birds and other wildlife have formed homes within the rotting bodywork.
- This car graveyard is located in Bastnas, a town in southern Sweden according to the photographer.
- The cars are now part of nature in a way.
- As the eerie pictures depict trees have grown around bodywork and moss covers the seats and steering wheels.
- The mysterious spot has a trove of neglected classics, ranging from old Saabs and Volvos, to VW camper vans and even a few Fords and Buicks
