Rakhi is around the corner and according to us the best gift you can give your siblings is the gift of food. So, why not just make them something sweet? This week, to ease your kitchen troubles, we bring you two simple no-bake desserts that you can whip up quickly.

No-bake cheese cake

Ingredients
500 gm cream cheese
500 gm whipped cream
30 gm gelatin
150 gm fresh milk
4 yolks of eggs
250 gm sugar
Vanilla essence
A little lime juice
100 gm digestive biscuits
50 gm melted butter

Method
On a double boiler, whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until fluffy. Warm milk and gradually add to the above mixture, whisking continuously. Meanwhile dissolve the gelatin in warm water and set aside. When the egg and milk mixture cools down, fold in the cream cheese, vanilla essence, lime juice, dissolved gelatin and fold in the whipped cream. Powder the digestive biscuits mixed with melted butter and place at the bottom of a ring mould. Pour the mixture into the mould and leave in the refrigerator to set. Garnish with fresh fruits.

No-bake banana tart

Ingredients
8 biscuits (unsweetened)
2 tsp butter
1 tbsp milk
1 cup cream
1 cup chocolate
Nutella
1 banana (sliced)

Method
Coarsely crush the biscuits using a pestle. Add melted butter and milk and mix thoroughly. Then transfer into a tart mould, press evenly. On top of it, spread a little Nutella and arrange the banana slices. Warm cream in a pan and add the remaining nutella. Switch off the flame and mix thoroughly, then pour this mixture on the banana slices. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to two hours and transfer it onto a serving plate and cut into pieces.
