Sridevi's 'Puli' release postponed by two weeks

The film was initially slated to release on September 17

Mumbai: Mumbai: The Vijay-Sridevi starrer ‘Puli’ which was initially slated to release on September 17, will now release two weeks later on October 1. According to reports, due to some technical snag with the computer graphics, the makers decided to reschedule the release of the film.

The special effects in the film were reportedly outsourced to third party companies in several countries including China, Sweden and Russia. However the team was not too happy with the final outcome, and has decided to rework some of the important scenes.

The film has been directed by Chimbu Deven and also stars Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, and Sudeep in pivotal roles. The Tamil film will also be dubbed in Hindi and Telugu to reach a wider audience.
