Athiya Shetty admits she is a Shah Rukh Khan fangirl

Mumbai: Actress Athiya Shetty may be getting her big Bollywood break, all thanks to Salman Khan, but this young star has a confession to make. Athiya, who will star in the upcoming film ‘Hero’, admitted that she is a huge fan of another superstar… Shah Rukh Khan.

Salman may be launching her under his new production company ‘Salman Khan films’, but the young star holds another Khan close to her heart. Being Sunil Shetty’s daughter, she did get a chance to meet a number of Bollywood stars. One memory that stood out for her, was the time she spent on the sets of Shah Rukh’s ‘Main Hoon Naa’.

"They are all superstars. I remember meeting Shah Rukh Khan sir on the sets of 'Main Hoon Naa' and I am a huge fan of him. He is an amazing person. He showed me the entire set... Had a nice time... So it is a memory I will cherish," Athiya told PTI.

At a time when every actress looks to work with the Khans, Athiya too is keen to share screen space with them.

"I don't know when I would get the opportunity to work with them. But whenever the offer comes I will grab it. If I get the chance (to romance the Khans) then why not," she said.

When asked if she was open to doing a film with her father, the actress said, "I don't know, nothing has come yet. I would love to work with him."
