Hyderabad: Osmania University's post-graduate students are awaiting results even after three months of their semester exams. The most annoyed are those who took the final semester exams and are planning to apply to other universities or for competitive exams.
One such student belonging to the chemistry department said, “Earlier the university used to declare results by July and it used to work out for students as by many universities have last dates for applying to PhD in August. Even some job notifications by the Centre have the last application date in August.
“After the Telangana agitation results have been coming late. This year August has almost come to an end and still results have not yet been released,” the student added.
When an official from the examination department was asked about this he said, “The exams were conducted in May for regular students and for those with backlogs it was held in June and some exams in July. The results for the regular as well as backlog exams will be released together because of which it took time. Moreover, in OU double valuation is done for all papers. We will soon start releasing results department-wise and by September first or second week all the results will be out.”
