One woman had to crash land an aircraft in Seville, southern Spain after her husband, the pilot lost consciousness. She is known to have no previous experience of flying or operating a plane, according to reports by Unilad.
The air traffic controllers guided her through the landing for 90 minutes with the plane’s altitude 10,000 feet in the air. The woman, whose identity is kept anonymous by officials, was described as being hardly able to even read a compass by the staff who talked her through the landing.
Unfortunately her husband was dead by the time the plane landed. After she managed to land the plane with the help of the air traffic controller, a helicopter was dispatched to the scene, two miles outside the airport.
Although she suffered serious injuries, her life is not thought to be in danger, Unilad reported.
