TD faults CM for ‘drunk’ Telangana
Hyderabad: Slamming Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the government’s cheap liquor policy, TD legislator A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday asked if it is the policy of the government to create one drunkard from every family and one belt shop for every locality in the name of Bangaru Telangana.
Participating in a meeting organised by toddy tappers in Kodangal constituency headquarters on Sunday, the TD MLA said once the government is going to introduce cheap liquor and make it available at every doorstep in Telangana, the toddy tappers are bound to lose their livelihood as Mr Rao intended to supply liquor at lower prices. He has also allged that cheap liquor business will be handed over to liquor mafia so that they unleash a terror in all villaiges.
