Godavari waters for Pattiseema by September 10
Kakinada: Irrigation minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao expressed confidence that Telugu Desam will win all seats in the Kadapa district including the Pulivendula Assembly constituency in 2019 elections as the Rayalaseema would be provided water for agriculture and industrial purposes.
He told reporters here on Sunday that the Godavari waters from Pattiseema project would be released on September 10 to Krishna district and Polavaram project spill works would be started on October 22 and the project would be completed within four years.
He said that all the pending irrigation projects such as Thotapalli, Galeru-Nagari and others would be completed in the coming two years. The Gundlakamma project would be completed by August-end.
He said that Rayalas-eema region would be developed both agriculturally and economically with the waters from Pattiseema project and the people of Rayalaseema would aware of it. Based on the development works taken up by the TD, he hoped that Rayalaseema people would vote for TD in the in the coming elections.
He criticised YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for trying to mislead the Rayalaseema people on Pattiseema.
He said the party would convene village level meeting on 9th of every month, mandal level meet on 13th and constituency level meet on 18th of every month and district level (23 and 24) in every month and resolve the issues pertaining to raise in the meetings.
