Driver veers car off road, kills biker, injures another in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: An I-10 car went out of control and killed a biker and injured another person near RK Bridge on Sunday morning. The driver, a senior citizen, lost control over the vehicle due to speeding, rammed into the two bikes and hit a culvert. The driver escaped from the spot before police came.
The victim, G. Kishan, 44, was brought dead to hospital while the second victim Govind Raj Naik is undergoing treatment. Eyewitnesses said the car was moving so fast that the driver could not control it at a turning.
“The car went to the other side of the road and rammed the two wheelers. One of the victims was driving a scooter and the other a bike. Both were injured seriously,” said Chinnaswami, an eyewitness.
The car was moving towards Neredmet. “The victim Kishan, who works at a shop at Raniganj, was going to his work place. He sustained severe head injuries and died,” said an SI from Trimulgherry.
The car driver could not be identified. Police officials said the vehicle is registered in the name of a person named Prabhakar Reddy Adla. Cops have booked a case against the driver for causing death by negligence.
