Alia Bhatt to star in 'Lunchbox' director Ritesh Batra's next?

Mumbai: Karan Johar recently announced that Alia Bhatt has been roped in for his next co-production directed by Gauri Shinde’s with Shah Rukh Khan. Rumour has it that the actress is in talks for yet another Karan Johar production, which is said to be helmed by the highly acclaimed ‘Lunchbox’ director Ritesh Batra.

If the project falls in place, it will be Alia’s fifth film with Dharma Productions after Student of the Year, Shaandaar, Kapoor & Sons, Shuddhi and Gauri Shinde's untitled film.

At the moment, Alia, who recently unveiled the trailer of her upcoming film ‘Shaandaar’ is currently gearing up for its release with her co-star Shahid Kapoor. Meanwhile, Ritesh Batra is currently in the UK working on his film ‘The Sense of An Ending’ which is said to be based on the award-winning novel of the same name by author Julian Barnes.
