Arunachal CM Nabam Tuki faces graft case
Gauhati HC has directed the CBI to register a case under Prevention of Corruption Act
Guwahati: In a significant development, the Gauhati High Court has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation to register a case under Prevention of Corruption Act against Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Nabam Tuki.
The court has passed this order after hearing a PIL accusing Mr Tuki of granting contracts to his ktih and kin including a company owned by his wife without inviting tenders.
The division bench in its order which was published on Saturday has also directed the CBI to file an FIR and final report before the the Special Court at Guwahati.
