Sachin Tendulkar, one of the greatest cricketers of all time was in the city to give a pep talk at the MRF Foundation. After the event, the God of Cricket paid a surprise visit to his good old friend, AR Rahman at his Ashok Nagar residence.
Reportedly, after chatting for a while, Rahman sat behind his console and played a few tunes for Tendulkar. The cricket legend seems to have been completely awestruck by Rahman’s performance. It was also learnt that ARR explained the master blaster as to how he normally goes about composing songs. Rahman’s mother Kareema Begum was also present at the meeting.
It is believed that Sachin, who is a huge fan of ARR, visited the latter not just to hear him play. A source tells DC that there was also another purpose for this meeting. Sachin presented ARR’s mom Kareema with a ‘Mothers of India’ award, that is being given away through an initiative to laud the ‘best mothers in India’ by CK Kumaravel and Veena Kumaravel of Naturals Beauty Salon.
