AP police have speeded up investigation in the phone tapping and related cases

Hyderabad: AP cops have speeded up investigation in the phone tapping and related cases following the TS Anti Corruption Bureau mentioning AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s name in the chargesheet 22 times.

A Special Investigation Team was formed to probe 87 FIRs registered against TS CM K. Chandrashekar Rao. It has served a notice issued by a Vijayawada court to the TS home secretary, asking him to keep the records pertaining to its interception of phones safe.

On Friday, AP CID, which is probing the Jerusalem Mattaiah case, decided to send a reminder to the TS intelligence security wing top cops on the whereabouts of TS minister K.T. Rama Rao’s gunman and driver.

An AP police official said, “We wrote to ISW chief of TS seeking assistance in serving notices to the gunman and driver. There was no reply. So we decided to send a reminder.”
