Police seized 400 electric detonators, 550 gelatin sticks

Hyderabad: A day after an armed gang of robbers opened fire at Jubilee Hills, the Cyberabad police recovered a huge quantity of explosives. Police seized 400 electric detonators, 550 gelatin sticks and a car and arrested six men for possessing the explosives on Friday.
Nacharam police said the explosives used for blasting in quarries were being transported illegally. Based on a tip off that one Madhusudhan Reddy from Nalgonda was transporting the explosives, the police started checking vehicles near the NFC gate at Mallapur.
“During the checking we found him carrying 400 electric detonators and 550 gelatin sticks in a car,” said inspector Pravinder Rao. Police registered a case and arrested Madhusudhan and five others.
