Hyderabad: A female singer was injured when someone threw acid on her on Wednesday. Sources said her colleague Hymad, also a singer, is suspected to have attacked her.
Banjara Hills police said,the 24-year-old victim was in a relationship with Hymad, who later married someone else. After his marriage, the victim had several arguments with Hymad.
She got a threatening call from a stranger on Wednesday. “On Wednesday at around 6.30 pm, while she was walking near a park in Srinagar Colony, unknown persons threw liquid on her and fled the spot,” said Banjara Hills inspector P. Murali Krishna. She suffered minor injuries on her back and is out of danger. Cops are questioning Hymad. A case was booked.
