Nagababu’s fury sparks Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi meet
Actor Pawan Kalyan finally decided to meet Chiranjeevi at the latter’s home on Saturday evening, bringing to an end a mildly cold war between the two celebrity brothers.
Even though the two keep up social appearances, this is the first time in years the brothers have met at home. And the meeting was special considering Saturday, August 22, happens to be Chiranjeevi’s birthday.
But the meeting happened after a charged Friday evening when Nagababu attacked Pawan Kalyan’s fans for screaming out the actor’s name during Chiranjeevi’s birthday celebrations. Pawan Kalyan was missing from the event. The slogan-shouting started right after the event’s start with dozens of Pawan’s fans interrupting the celebrations asking for the actor. A furious Nagababu, who was on the stage, then decided to take matters into his own hands.
“We send invitations to him for all our functions. He never comes but you fans have now made it common practice to shout ‘Power Star’ at all such events. Why don’t you go ask him why he skips these events?” a raging Nagababu asked.
He continued: “I know the people behind all this drama. I can even name them but I don’t want to. So, consider this the final warning to all those who are today screaming Pawan Kalyan’s name. There is only one star and that is the Mega Star,” said the visibly-upset Nagababu, referring to Chiranjeevi’s popular title.
To everyone’s surprise, the actor revealed some bit of history to explain how Pawan Kalyan entered the industry.
“Do you know that Pawan Kalyan wanted to become a director? But my sister-in-law (Chiranjeevi’s wife) actually encouraged him to pursue acting and that’s why he is now an actor. Next time, you keep your mouths shut,” the actor yelled.
He also praised Chiranjeevi for “paving the way for everyone”. “He has struggled so much to reach this position. And I have seen him how much effort he has put into this journey. Today, if he had not joined politics, there would’ve been no other ‘star’ except the Mega Star.”
