Kochi: BPCL-Kochi Refinery is celebrating Onam this year in a different way. And that too, with an added reason to do so.
With the Integrated Refinery Expansion Project crossing 10 million accident-free safe man hours, the company is organising a grand Onam feast on Friday for about 16,000 people who include all the people who are working on the project.
“The Labour community, contract supervisors, trade union leaders, BPCL employees and other stake holders will attend the feast,” a company release said here.
“This is an initiative to recognize the contribution of the labour community and encourage them and other working in the site to carry out activities as per safety systems.”
The feast would be organized in a pandal that would accommodate 3,000 people at a time.
