'Henna Contouring' makeup trend looks pretty even before you blend
Contouring has become a very popular makeup technique thanks to the likes of selfie-obsessed Kim Kadarshian. It is used for highlighting different facial features like the cheekbones, nose and forehead in a more flattering way. After a popular fad called #ClownContour, we bring to you yet another amazing and decidedly prettier makeup trend called ‘henna contouring’.
Invented by Pakistani makeup and henna artist Sahur Saleim, this makeup trick involves using a range of concealer shades to draw intricate henna designs on the face before blending it to make the features look more sculpted.
The 17-year-old said that she was inspired by beauty vlogger Bella De Lune’s ‘clown contouring tutorial’ and decided to give it a different twist by coming up with the idea of #HennaContour.
"Those of you that have been following me for a while know that face painting, henna and makeup have always been dear to me and I saw an opportunity to tie them together and grabbed it instantly,” she says, as reported in the Huffington Post.
