Tintu Luka leads India’s charge at IAAF World Championships
Athletics Federation of India announced a 17-member team for the prestigious event, to be held in Beijing from August 22 to 30
New Delhi: Commonwealth Games gold medallist Vikas Gowda and athlete Tintu Luka will lead the Indian challenge at the IAAF World Championships, where the country will compete in nine disciplines.
The Athletics Federation of India announced a 17-member team for the prestigious event, to be held in Beijing from August 22 to 30.
The selection of the team, comprising 10 women and seven men, was based on qualification standards set by the IAAF for all events including individual as well as relay.

Vikas Gowda, Lalita Shivaji Babar, Inderjeet Singh, O.P. Jaisha, Sudha Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Baljinder Singh, Chandan Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Manish Singh Rawat, Khushbir Kaur, Sapna, Anu Raghavan, M.R. Poovamma, Debashree Majumdar, Jisna Mathew, Tintu Luka and Rajinder Singh.
