Telangana ACB grills former MP’s son in cash-for-vote scam
Hyderabad: Liquor baron D Srinivas, son of late TTD chairman D.K. Adikesavalu Naidu was grilled by the Telangana ACB on Tuesday in the cash-for-vote scam. ACB officials, who served a notice under Section 160 CrPC to Mr Srinivas, MD of Karnataka Breweries and Distilleries Private Limited, questioned him at the ACB headquarters in Banjara Hills for more than six hours regarding the source of the Rs 50 lakh used in the scam.
He said, “I have cooperated with them and given all the information. Mr Revanth Reddy is a good friend of mine. The ACB has been calling all close friends of Revanth Reddy and TD leaders. I had called up Revanth Reddy on the day he was arrested using the mobile phone of my cousin Vishnu Chaitanya to know what happened. I couldn’t reach him through my mobile phone. So I used his. After analysing call data, they served notices to me and my cousin”
He said the ACB had asked him about the Rs 50 lakh. “I have informed them that I have no knowledge about it.” Mr Srinivas’ mother D.A. Satya Prabha is a TD MLA from Chittoor.
