Kerala High Court: Orders on land grab cases reserved
Justice Alexander Thomas issued the order after considering the state's affidavit in the case
Kochi: Kerala High Court on Tuesday reserved the controversial Peringome land grab cases for orders on September 1. It will consider Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson's report on the functioning of the Advocate-General's office.
Justice Alexander Thomas issued the order after considering the state's affidavit in the case. It asked the state to file the Vigilance inquiry report and give the copies to all the parties in the case.
The court is considering the petitions filed by K.K. Gopalakrishnan, who was a revenue official at Peringome village office, and others seeking to quash the First Information Report against them registered by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The court had asked the Chief Secretary to conduct an inquiry as to how government pleaders failed to provide information sought by the court and how the repeated attempts of this court to secure instructions from the government had failed.
