More charges in cash-for-vote scam
Investigators say Telangana ACB will need strong evidence to name Naidu as an accused
Hyderabad: A supplementary chargesheet to be filed by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau in the cash-for-vote scam in the next few weeks will decide the fate of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Investigators and legal experts, however, say that the Telangana ACB will need strong evidence to name Mr Naidu as an accused. The ACB has already nailed four accused, including TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy, in the preliminary chargesheet.
Though ACB had mentioned Mr Naidu 22 times, trying to indicate that the other accused acted on his behest to bribe Anglo Indian MLA Elvis Stephenson in the MLC elections, the agency is looking for more evidence against the AP CM to make their case stronger.
