Chennai: Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Tuesday expressed her deepest condolences to President Pranab Mukherjee on the demise of his wife Suvra Mukherjee. In her message to the President she said, “I was grieved to learn about the demise Smt Suvra Mukherjee on Wednesday. Although no words of solace would really be adequate in such circumstances, I wish to share your grief by conveying my deepest condolences to you and to all the other members of your family. May her soul rest in peace”.
Meanwhile, Governor, Dr K. Rosaiah also sent a condolence message to the Pranab Mukherjee in which he said, “I am deeply shocked and grieved to hear about the demise of your beloved wife Suvra Mukherjee. I convey my sincere condolences to you and to the bereaved members of the family. I pray to God to rest her soul in peace.” Smt Suvra Mukherjee, passed away at 10.51 am on Tuesday at the Army Research and Referral Hospital, New Delhi.
