D K Aruna for probe on K Chandrasekhar Rao’s kin
She demanded an inquiry and restoration of the land presently being held by the relatives of the CM
Hyderabad: Senior Congress legislator D.K. Aruna along with MLA S.A. Sampat on Tuesday demanded a thorough inquiry into allegations against close relatives of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who had allegedly grabbed lands belonging to government and dalits in Pragnapur of Gajwel Assembly segment represented by the CM.
Addressing a press meet at the Assembly here, Ms Aruna said close relatives of the Chief Minister have illegally occupied and taken possession of around 400 acres of government land in which 37 acres were given to Dalits by previous government.
She demanded an inquiry and restoration of the land presently being held by the relatives of the CM.
She alleged that the Chief Minister’s relatives were using their clout in government and forcibly occupying the land which would have otherwise been useful for public purposes.
She released a report by Gajwel mandal tahsildar sent to the district collector on July 20 this year wherein it was clearly mentioned that nearly 400 acres in Survey No. 356 is under illegal occupation by few individuals who Ms Aruna alleged are relatives of Chief Minister.
She has also named the relatives and said the Chief Minister frequently makes visits to their houses in Pragnapur which is on the way to Mr Chandr-asekhar Rao’s farmhouse.
