Tourist takes cab driver to theme park because he'd never been to one

An Irish man on a trip to the United Arab Emirates gave some hope that the world is not a bad place after all when he decided to take his taxi driver to visit a theme park.

Liam Murphy took a cab from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to visit the popular Ferrari World theme park. After his cab driver, Shakiha, told him that he’d wait in the car for four hours while he visited Ferrari Word, Murphy offered instead to pay for his ticket so that he could join him for the day, Buzzfeed News reported.

The 38-year-old test engineer took pictures of the trip and posted them on his social media profile. The cab driver Shakiha also enjoyed his first roller coaster ride on the fastest in the world despite having lived in the UAE for the past 14 years.

“Every time he drops passengers off, he stays in the car for the day,” Murphy told Buzzfeed News. “I decided to bring him along for the laugh. He was great entertainment. I bought him some pizza on the way home. His family are in India and he said he sends money home each month. I felt sorry for him.”
