Governor of no help, AP left to its fate: Chandrababu Naidu
Naidu on Monday said that this had left AP facing several challenge
Vijayawada: Openly expressing his displeasure over Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan’s role vis-a-vis the smooth functioning of the AP government from Hyderabad, the common capital for 10 years, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said that this had left AP facing several challenges.
Mr Naidu said AP was facing injustice due to flaws in the state bifurcation process. “AP Reorganisation Bill is not being implemented in its true spirit,” he said. “Even I, the Chief Minister, have not got respect in Hyderabad though it is the common capital. How can anyone expect justice for the common man when the CM faces embarrassing situations,” Mr Naidu said.
Mr Naidu said that seven important promises mentioned in the bifurcation Act, including special status, railway zone, funds for capital construction, Polavaram completion and Central government organisations, were pending with the Centre. He said that he will discuss all these issues when he meets PM on August 20 and ask him to fulfil these promises.
