E.V.K.S. Elangovan
Vellore: About 200 men and women belonging to AIADMK party on Monday protested the State Congress president E.V.K.S. Elangovan's statement against the meeting between he Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa and the Indian Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi in Chennai a few days ago.
The agitating members blamed Elangovan for making such derogatory statement against the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister and demanded an unconditional apology from Elangovan. They then tried to burn the effigy of Elangovan, which was prevented by the police.
The agitation was organised near the Old Corporation building in which Janani P.Satishkumar, former MLA of Arcot, Neelakantan, Corporation's third zonal committee president Kumar and many other AIADMK men and women participated.
