Instead of following a thousand beauty advices, concentrate on the ten biggest natural remedies for a glowing and healthy system.
1) Drink plain water. It helps to drain the toxins out of the body and till date there is no alternative to it.
2) Try to stay indoors between 11 am and 3 pm. That’s when the sun’s rays are the strongest. Also, don’t forget to apply sunscreen 30 minutes before you step out. If you’ve been out in the sun for a few hours, touch it up again.
3) It is important to keep your pores closed and skin cool by using a toner.
4) During summer use a light, water-based moisturiser.
5) The time is up. Ditch those colas and keep coffee to a maximum of two cups a day.
6) Cleanse your face twice a day at least. This is an important to-do even if you have been home all day and feel like your skin is clean.
7) It is really important to exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and improve blood circulation to the face. Choose from any of the cosmetic scrubs available in the market or make one at home.
8) The body repairs its cells and tissues at night when we sleep. It is important to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep. No matter how many skin procedures you subject yourself to, if you do not get optimum rest, your skin will look haggard.
9) What you eat shows on your face. Do not consume too many salty products, as salt can have a dehydrating effect on the body. Include high water content fruits in your diet like watermelon, cucumber, oranges and lettuce which will give you nutrients and anti-oxidants.
10) Do not exercise in excess. Sometimes a walk can do more wonders than a very strenuous workout.
