Alia Bhatt steps out to support friend Anushka Ranjan at 'Wedding Pulao' film launch
Alia Bhatt made it a point to attend the ‘Wedding Puloa’ film launch that will see her close friend Anushka Ranjan make her Bollywood debut. Photo: Viral Bhayani- She is also currently shooting for her family drama ‘Kapoor and Sons’ where she will share screen space with Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan and Rishi Kapoor.
- Alia on the other hand is gearing up for the release of ‘Shandaar’, where she stars opposite Shahid Kapoor.
- According to the director, the film tells a tale of young love and friendship and will star Anushka Ranjan in the lead along with TV heartthrob Karan V Grover.
- The cinematographer turned director has also worked on films like ‘1942: A Love Story’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Delhi-6’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.
- Alia also shares a link with the film’s director Binod Pradhan. The debutant director was a cinematographer for Alia’s ‘2 States’, in which she starred opposite Arjun Kapoor.
- Alia’s parents also came along to show their support to the young new starlet.
- Alia and Anushka have always shared a close friendship that goes back to their childhood.
- Alia wished Anushka all the very best for her film and her future endeavours in the cut throat Bollywood industry.
- The young actress who has had four consecutive hit films since she made her debut in Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’, was by her friend’s side as she presented her film to a select few guests that comprised of close friends and family.
